Fox Trail

Fox Trail - Tuesdays – Saturdays during November

Can you find fox pictures hiding around our site? Free pencil and entry into a prize draw for everyone who takes part. £1 plus admission.

Half Term Pottery Painting, until Saturday 2nd

November

Paint a piece of pottery to take home as a unique souvenir of your visit to Gladstone, from £1 plus admission. Choose from mini bottle ovens, animals, flowers and special witch and wizard and Halloween themed items.

Toddler Thursday – Thursday 7th November

Learn, play and explore in our sessions especially for under 5s and their parents or carers. £1 per child but normal admission applies if you wish to visit the rest of the museum. 10.30 - 11.30am. Booking essential – call 01782 237777.

 

Firing Films – Saturday 9th November

A chance to see films showing firing in traditional bottle ovens in the Potteries, with photos and other related information. 11.30am.

This event is free (normal admission applies to the museum. Please call 01782 237777 to book.

Memories of a Mouldmaker – Saturday 16th November

Join Owen Sloss to hear about his 40 years’ experience as a mouldmaker, from an apprentice to a master craftsman. 11.30am. Free (normal admission charges apply to the museum). Please call 01782 237777 to book your place.

Christmas Shopping Discount – Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November…. and Thursday 28th Friday 29th and Saturday 30th November

Save 15% when you spend £5 or more in the shop. Choose from gifts, cards, books and ceramics made or decorated on site. Admission tickets not included. The shop and café welcome non-museum visitors.

 

Snapshots of Longton History – Saturday 23rd November

Join museum volunteer and local historian Phil Rowley for a look at important points in the town's history over the last few centuries and their effect on its development as 'china town'. 11.30am. Festive Flowermaking – Saturday 30th November

Find out how our beautiful china blooms are made from our expert flowermaker in this hands-on workshop. Make your own festive flowers including Star of Bethlehem Christmas decorations to take home with you. 11am – 12.30pm, £12 per person which includes museum admission (normally £7.75). Neck End Knitters – Saturday 30th November

If you enjoy knitting or would like to learn in a friendly, historic setting bring your needles and wool and come along to our knitting group. 11am – 12.30 in the Gladstone Café. We're sorry for any inconvenience but access to the cafe is by stairs only at the moment as the lift in our main building is out of order.
