Looking for something to do with the kids this half term? We've got loads of activities for them to try out across our leisure centres in Stoke-on-Trent. There's swimming, football, badminton, table tennis, a bouncy castle, junior spinning and boxercise - and even a SUPER HERO PARTY

New Horizons Sport and Leisure Centre

Pool:

Leisure Swim: Sessions are open to anyone. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

Dates: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Times: 12pm-4pm.

Cost: £2.50 per session. Energise + card holders £2 per session.

 

Aqua Run: Fun sessions using the 15m eliminator pool inflator, pictured. There is a maximum of 40 people per session. Dates: Tuesday and Thursday. Times: 10am-11:30am, 12pm-1:30pm, and 2pm-3:30pm. Cost: £2.50 per session. Energise + card holders pay £2 per session.

 

Sports Hall:

Fun activities including soft play, football, badminton, table tennis and a bouncy castle will be on offer all week in the sports hall. Dates: Monday-Friday Times: 12pm-4pm Cost: £2.50 per session. Energise + card holders pay £2 per session. For a pool session and use of the sports hall, pay £3.50. Energise and card holders pay £2.50

Holiday day passes

Holiday day passes for activities are available throughout half term and will include: Swimming - all sessions included except for adults only, go-karts, dance mats, badminton, table tennis. Children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult. Activities do not need to be booked in advance. Dates: Monday-Friday Times: 10am-4pm Costs: £4 per child under the age of eight. £5 per child over the age of eight. Adults can purchase a day pass for £5. Shapes members are free of charge.

Pool:

Leisure session - main pool: Sessions are open to anyone. Dates: Daily. Times: 1.25pm-4.20pm. Cost: £4.40 for adults (16 years+), £3.40 for juniors (5-15 years), £1.35 for under five years.

 

Leisure session - small pool: Sessions open to anyone. Dates: Daily. Times: 12pm-3.45pm. Cost: £4.40 for adults (16 years+), £3.40 for juniors (5-15 years), £1.35 for under five years.

 

Fun session: Featuring an inflatable aqua run in the main pool. Dates: Daily. Times: 10.15am-11.45am Cost: £4.40 for adults (16 years+), £3.40 for juniors (5-15 years), £1.35 for under five years.

 

Aquatots: In the small pool, sessions open to anyone. Dates: Daily. Times: 10:15am-11.45am. Cost: Two adults for £6.40 and under fives go free.

 

Superhero party: Let Spider-man and Superman show you how to become a real superhero. Come dressed as your favourite superhero for a session of chasing villains, learning how to run and jump like a hero, avoiding the Mad Professor’s smoke bombs, and much more!

Dates: Friday, 22 February. Times: Session for five to nine-year-olds - 10am-11am. Sessions for nine-year-olds to 13-year-olds - 11:30am-12:30am. Costs: £5 per child.

Junior classes:

If children attending are aged eight-12 years old, adults must attend and participate in the class. Pre-workout forms must also be completed before the class starts. There is limited availability, so please call the team on 01782 233500 to book places.

Junior Spinning: 

Dates: Thursday, 21 February at 11am and Thursday, 28 February at 4pm. Costs: Adult/junior members - free, child members - £1, non-members adults - £1, non-members children - £3.

 

Junior Boxercise: Date: Thursday, 21 February Time: 3pm. Costs: Adult/junior members - free, child members - £1, non-members adults - £1, non-members children - £3.

 

Port Vale FC Foundation Trust Half Term Holiday Camps:

The below holiday camps for children aged five-13 years old of all abilities will be run by Port Vale FC Foundation Trust. Some of the activities that will run during the sessions include skill-based coaching, penalty competitions, player and mascot appearances and prizes. There is a 10% discount for Junior Vale members. Dates: 18 February-22 February Times: 9am-3:30pm Location: Dimensions Leisure Centre Costs: Pre-paid (before 16 February) - £12 per day or £50 for the week. On the day cost - £15 per day or £60 for the week.

 

Girls Only Football Dates: Thursday, 21 February-Friday, 22 February Times: 9am-3:30pm. Location: Dimensions Leisure Centre Costs: Pre-paid (before 22 February) - £12 per day or £20 for both days. On the day cost - £15 per day or £25 for both days.

 

Goalkeeper Day Date: Friday, 22 February. Times: 9am-3:30pm. Location: Dimensions Leisure Centre Costs: Pre-paid (before 16 February) - £12 per day or £20 for both days. On the day cost - £15 per day or £25 for both days.
