Soldier figure displayed at town hall to honour war heroes
A silhouette of a soldier has been placed at Stoke Town Hall as part of a project to remember those who died in the First World War.
The Tommy figure, displayed in the council chamber, will be one of many seen at locations across the UK as the country commemorates the end of the 1914 to 1918 conflict.
Remembrance 2018's soldier silhouettes have been designed to represent the hundreds of thousands of people who left their communities behind and made the ultimate sacrifice.
