Bogus Calls About Tree Roots
A local resident has received a telephone call claiming to
be from the council.
The caller said that the roots from the residents' trees were
blocking the drains and had been removed, however this involved a fee and
credit card details were asked for.
This is a telephone scam.
Never give your credit card or bank details over the telephone
or on the Internet to any unsolicited calls or contacts.
Action:
Never give out your bank details or personal details to
anyone unknown.
