Mandatory training update
New guidance to support the completion of mandatory training
Following on from our previous update about additional modules of eLearning, a helpful guide has been produced about how to complete these. It is important to note that your trainees will need to complete these modules in eLfH.

Following feedback from our annual surveys and through regular meetings with our hosts and LNC trainees we understood a need to revisit the functionality of our website. Over the last few months we have been working with our website developers to improve navigation and ability to search for information better, by introducing trainee-specific hubs. The look and feel of the website is also changing to align with MWL and other NHS organisation website designs. We look forward to this new launch and we'll keep you updated as it progresses.

Important information for Dental Foundation Trainee hosts
With the start of a new Dental Foundation Training Year, we would like to share important information with you as you support your new starters. This includes:

Thank you to those that have attended and engaged with our knowledge sessions this year. There is still time to book onto sessions happening between now and the end of December that apply to both hosts and trainees, so do spread the word with your cohorts.

Thank you to those who have taken the time to update their contact details with us. These changes are actioned every week into our database for use of communications. While we continue to work on the launch of a new database system and process (more details to follow soon) we would be grateful if you could continue to utilise the Host Contact form for any changes to name, email, job position, host site or region, as needed.
This will include details on how to join the Bank and the benefits of being able to easily pick up additional hours/shifts. We can onboard new trainees to the Collaborative Bank within just one day!
Management referrals to HWWB
Our health, work, and well-being (HWWB) team offer a management referral service. Occupational health professionals (advisors or physicians) provide this service and offer managers an opinion on a trainee's fitness for work and any support a trainee may need.
