Time to Talk Day 2023
Dear colleague,
Today (2nd February) is Time to Talk Day. The annual national campaign provides an opportunity to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness by encouraging us all to open up if we’re struggling.
Mental health problems affect one in four people, so it's crucial to get people talking.
Let's support each other
Helping others and providing support can make a difference for someone who is having problems and going through a tough time.
Equally, it's important to know that you are not alone if you struggle with your mental wellbeing. Family, friends and colleagues can be important advocates to help in times of need.
Especially in the winter months, it can be challenging to maintain healthy mental wellness with the dropping temperatures, shorter days and likelihood of intense work schedules. The importance of conversation and seeking support during this period is paramount.
NHS Employers Resources
The employers’ organisation for the NHS in England have plenty of resources available to ensure individuals feel supported if they are struggling with their mental health.
