NEW CMDT Training - Dining with Dignity
This course looks at communication, evidence recording and engagement, ensuring that the resident or service user has the best outcome when having a dysphagia diet.
The session will include a practical demonstration and is recommended for: Home Manager/Deputy, Nurses / Clinical Lead, Activity Coordinators, Carers and Senior Carers, Chefs / Cooks, Catering Assistants or Kitchen Assistants.

Dysphagia training
The course is delivered in-person and involves practical exercises and group participation and discussion. It is for staff working in Learning Disability care settings.

Epilepsy Training
This session is aimed at all support staff working in community settings supporting someone with a Learning Disability and a diagnosis of epilepsy.
This training is for South Staffordshire Providers Only and is delivered in-person. 6th June 2025 - 09:30-12:30 6th June 2025 - 13:30-16:30

Signing up to the Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set (ASC-WDS) is crucial for the effective management and development of your workforce. By joining ASC-WDS, you gain access to valuable insights and benchmarking tools that help you understand your business performance compared to others in the sector.
Additionally, ASC-WDS provides opportunities for funding and discounts on staff training, ensuring your team remains up to date with training and development needs. Your participation also supports government decision-making and planning, contributing to the overall improvement of the social care sector
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is pleased to confirm that the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) will continue in financial year 2025 to 2026. The scheme will continue to support adult social care employers to invest in learning and development for their staff, by providing a financial contribution towards the costs of training. Funding is only available to care providers with an ASC-WDS account. The ASC-WDS includes an eligibility checker so you can easily check if you can claim.
Updated information, including guidance for employers and a list of courses and qualifications eligible for funding, has been published on the Government website.
