Bookings now open for Easter holiday activities in Staffordshire
Running from Monday 14 April to Friday 25 April 2025, the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme, offers a wide range of activities at venues across Staffordshire, including schools, community centres, and leisure facilities.
Activities include sports, creative clubs, computer sessions, animal care, and horse riding, along with many others. There will also be sensory and mindfulness activities, as well as confidence-building sessions available.
Bookings are now open for more than 21,000 eligible children and young people aged 5 to 16 who receive free school meals. Eligible participants can book up to four funded sessions, many of which come with a healthy hot meal.
Some clubs are also offering paid places for children and young people. Parents and carers can book either a funded or paid place online.
Highways crews get a tasty boost from Spudman
nLast week, Spudman treated our highways crews to his famous jacket potatoes during their latest project in Tamworth.
The popular local business, run by TikTok star Ben Newman, showed his support by delivering a well-earned meal to the team working hard to improve the town's roads.
The £1.2 million scheme includes resurfacing roads, replacing kerbs, and improving drainage between Lichfield Street and Comberford Road.
This project is part of our wider £45 million investment in Staffordshire's roads over the next three years, with an extra £15 million recently announced to fix potholes, improve drainage, and keep roads in good condition for the future.
