The brand new Staffordshire History Centre opened its doors to the public for the first time on Wednesday 6 November. Visitors explored the displays which feature objects and documents from across the three collections held by Staffordshire Archives and Heritage Service. We were able to welcome researchers into the Research Room to look at documents and volumes from the archive collections while other visitors explored our temporary exhibition about Staffordshire's Asylums, used the public computers for family history research or discovered the hidden corners of the historic Georgian house which was home to the William Salt Library for many years.
