Cannock Library offers a Warm Welcome this Spring
Join us at Cannock Library as Winter turns into Spring for extra coffee mornings and afternoon tea. We have board games, dominoes, cards, mindfulness colouring books and jigsaws, so come along with friends and family or pop in and make new friends. We can also point you in the direction of other activity and chances to meet new people in the area, just ask.
Coffee mornings/afternoon tea
- Every Tuesday 2pm-4pm
- Every Thursday 2pm – 4pm
- Every Friday between 10am and 12 Noon.
Monthly craft sessions (January-March) – learn something new, have fun, meet new people.

Join us on Friday 8th March 2.00-4:00 for a free afternoon tea, with sandwiches and cakes galore – It is a FREE drop-in and a chance to find out more about what the Library can offer. Ask at the library for details.
These additional activities have been made possible by Know Your Neighbourhood funding – look out for more information on this scheme, including volunteering opportunities with libraries soon.

National Storytelling Week at Cannock Library
We had an absolutely fantastic time celebrating National Storytelling Week in February!
The children had lots of fun making their own hats, after listening to Sharon read Grumpy Hat by Nicola Kent.
Thank you to those who joined us for stories and crafts this morning! The children sat beautifully for story time and we absolutely love getting to display your fantastic work in the library.
Hednesford Community Library Circular Walk
Join us for a healthy 8 mile walk from Hednesford Community Library & discover the Great Outdoors as we walk a circular route to Castle Ring Iron Age Hillfort.

We are asking everyone to join in with the national campaign to help to protect our own special Cannock Chase National Landscape. We are all responsible for keeping it unspoilt, natural, wild and beautiful for everyone to be able to enjoy in the future.

Cannock Chase Special Area of Conservation displays at Hednesford Community Library and Brereton Community Library this March
Why not pop along to Hednesford or Brereton this March and explore the latest information from the organisation. There are also puzzle booklets and stickers!

Places of Welcome at Cannock Library
Cannock Library hosts a weekly ‘Place of Welcome’ every Monday from 11:00am – 1:00pm.
Places of Welcome are a place where people can feel safe to connect, belong and contribute.
These are run by community groups who want to make sure everyone has a place to go for conversation and a cup of tea if and when they need it.
All Places of Welcome are open to everyone and offer:
- Friendship and hospitality;
- Regular opening at the same time each week;
- Free refreshments (donations welcome);
- Local knowledge about the neighbourhood.

Destination Access Guide for Cannock Chase National Landscape
The team at the Cannock Chase National Landscape have recently launched the first Destination Access Guide for Cannock Chase National Landscape.
The purpose of the guide is to give visitors more information on accessible leisure activities that can be visited if you have a disability, require assistance with access, or a parent and guardian with small children and a buggy. Helping everyone to be able to plan, easily explore and have a great day out.

Cannock Library Bereavement Help Point - Here to Help
A new partnership with St Giles Hospice in the Cannock area is offering a Bereavement Help Point to the Cannock community.
The weekly help point offers :
- Information on how to manage your grief following the death of a loved one
- Advice on how to support yourself and where to receive further help if you need it
- A listening ear, because sometimes all you need to do is talk things through with people who understand
- Library book stock from the Reading Agency Grief and Bereavement Collection is available to borrow
Why not drop in for a cup of tea and a chat with one of our trained bereavement support volunteers.
