Help make a lifelong career in care a reality for you
Working in social care is more than a just job. It is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people who draw on care and support.
In Staffordshire, we want working in social care to be a hugely rewarding, attractive and lifelong career for people like you to make a difference. There is increasing demand across all areas of social care – adults, children, families – which brings more and more opportunities to change lives, every day.
We want working in social care to be a very positive and satisfying choice for those that go above and beyond every day, and a really attractive option for you if you’re looking to make a real difference.
As someone on a social care or associated training course, you’ll be looking to enter employment soon, so now’s the time to help shape the sector so it offers you more of what you need and want.
Organisations across the county and private and public sectors have already come together in a group to produce a new plan - Staffordshire’s future social care workforce strategy. But they can’t put this together without you.
By filling in a short survey that should take less than ten minutes to complete, you can tell the taskforce what made you begin training, what might stop you from entering a career in social care, what types of career are you looking for, and what you think would encourage others, including young people, into the sector.
You could make a difference every day in social care in Staffordshire. This strategy is about making sure you can, for the long term.
