JustGiving page launched to support Afghan evacuees
In response to generous offers of support from Staffordshire residents, a JustGiving page has been launched to help recently arrived Afghan evacuees.
The JustGiving page has been set up in partnership with local charity the Community Foundation for Staffordshire and will use donations to provide evacuees with clothes, children’s toys and other essential items.
Public agencies are kindly asking people not to donate clothes, toys or other items themselves.

Grab your jab this Autumn
Residents in Staffordshire are asked to continue to play their part this Autumn.
Cases of Covid in Staffordshire remain high, so it is important that everyone takes sensible precautions to limit the spread of infection. This includes getting tested regularly, ideally twice a week, wearing face coverings in crowded indoor places, and keeping a sensible distance from one another.
Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself against the virus. Vaccination popups are running across Staffordshire offering vaccinations to anyone aged 16 and above – dates and times can be found here.
