Get involved with the sixth Staffordshire Day on Saturday 1 May 2021
Due to the ongoing global pandemic and certain national restrictions still in place, we are finalising plans for another virtual celebration of our great county.
As things stand, the programme is going to be online-only, and will once again take place on social media and the Enjoy Staffordshire website.
There will be a host of activities recognising our pride in our county, promoting our resilience, kindness, community spirit and celebrating Staffordshire's fantastic local businesses.
We need your help to put the finishing touches to the programme together.
So get in touch with us if you want to host something online for Staffordshire Day - such as demonstrations, performances, readings, talks, quizzes and activities for people to get involved with online from home.
Events can be pre-recorded and provided to us in advance - or can be delivered live on the day at a specified time.
We are not limited to what can be included in the programme - as long as it is done in a Covid-safe manner in-line with the latest guidelines, and is in some way connected to Staffordshire. So it could be:
- a gardening, craft, cookery or skills demonstration (pre-recorded or delivered live online)?
- or perhaps a 'behind the scenes' virtual tour of your business or organisation's activities, or an area or location in Staffordshire you are passionate or knowledgeable about?
- or maybe a community Staffordshire themed quiz, talk or online activity?
You can reach us via email at info@enjoystaffordshire.com with your suggestions, ideas and contributions and we can programme them into the day, and promote them leading up to the big day and on the day itself.

Staffordshire Day is always celebrated on 1st May. The date for Staffordshire Day was chosen by public vote in 2015 and marks the creation of the world-famous Wedgwood pottery company back in 1759.
