Register for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme now

If you serve food in-house, you can now register for the 'Eat Out to Help Out' scheme that was announced by the Chancellor last week.

Restaurants, bars, cafes and other establishments who use the scheme will offer a 50% reduction, up to a maximum of £10 per person, to all diners who eat and/or drink-in throughout August.

The scheme is open to eligible establishments across the UK and can be used all day, every Monday to Wednesday, between 3 and 31 August 2020.

No vouchers are needed - businesses will discount at the till and will reclaim the discounted amount through an online service, supported by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). Claims can be made on a weekly basis and will be paid into bank accounts within five working days.

Eligible establishments are those in which food is sold for immediate on-premises consumption, which include:

  • restaurants
  • cafés
  • public houses that serve food
  • hotel restaurants
  • restaurants and cafes within tourist attractions, holiday sites and leisure facilities
  • dining rooms within members’ clubs
  • workplace and school canteens

Businesses registering will receive a window sticker and can also download other promotional items, including posters, table talkers and social media graphics.
