The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays and is a fun way to encourage your children to keep reading during the holidays. This year we are celebrating the 20^th anniversary of the Summer Reading Challenge with an exciting space theme, to coincide with the 50^th anniversary of the first Moon landing, which is sure to be lots of fun for everyone.

You can sign up your children at your local library, then read six library books of your choice over the summer, collecting stickers for a collectors wallet and picking up other fantastic rewards along the way – all FREE.

• Your volunteering hours can contribute to Duke of Edinburgh, Arts Award and other accreditations
