South Staffordshire Councils hosts Business Drop-in Session at Energy Bolting, Four Ashes
South Staffordshire Councils latest Business Drop-in Session, hosted at Energy Bolting, Four Ashes, witnessed an impressive turnout, with representatives from strategic partners, Staffordshire County Council and Staffordshire University.
This session supported local businesses to seek guidance, advice and valuable insights from the councils dedicated Enterprise team. In conjunction with strategic partners, they were able to explore sustainable practices and embrace innovation techniques.
As the South Staffordshire business community continues to flourish, the councils Business Drop-in Sessions will play a crucial role in fostering entrepreneurship, driving economic growth and creating a vibrant and prosperous future for the region.

South Staffordshire Shop Front Grant
South Staffordshire Council have established a ‘shop front’ grant scheme to support and sustain existing businesses in the village centres, this grant will help to improve the look and feel of our village centres, making those shops more attractive to passing visitors and local residents increasing trade and footfall.
The Shop Front Grant is available to independent retail and hospitality businesses and property owners in South Staffordshire’s village centres to improve their shop front or to bring vacant premises back into use.
The objective of the grant is to support traders and the local economy as well as improving the retail environment for shoppers, residents, and visitors.

Good Food and Tourism awards – Enter now!
The area’s largest celebration of tourism and hospitality, the 2025 Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards competition, is now open for entries!
Organised by the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP), the region’s accredited tourist board, in partnership with VisitEngland, this prestigious competition sees attractions, venues, experiences, accommodation businesses, restaurants, pubs and cafes go head-to-head in 19 categories.
We’d encourage any business that thinks they’ve got what it takes to win to enter.
The awards are free to enter, and any tourism or hospitality business located in Staffordshire, including Stoke-on-Trent, can apply. All applications must be submitted online before 11.59pm on Monday, September 2, 2024.
