Residents helped take down a criminal operation on their estate
A joint council and police operation recently uncovered weapons, drugs, and illegal e-bikes in an empty property on one of our estates. It started with our Antisocial Behaviour Team and Night Time Uniform Patrol Service, and when officers arrived, residents came forward with information that made a real difference.
If you notice something that doesn't seem right, suspected drug activity, antisocial behaviour (ASB), or someone using a property they shouldn't be in, please report it. You don't have to give your name.
Call us on our ASB line: 020 7525 5777, or call the police on 101 for non-emergency or 999 in an emergency.

Unlicensed rave prevented in SE5
Following intelligence about a planned unlicensed rave advertised on social media, the council’s Antisocial Behaviour, Noise and Licensing teams worked quickly with Arch Co to serve a notice on the Crown Street Arches premises in Camberwell. Officers carried out checks throughout the evening and into the early hours, with security also on site. Following this action, the planned rave did not take place.
Unlicensed events put residents, attendees and local businesses at risk, and are often linked to drug use, noise complaints, and wider criminal activity.

 Bikefix at Community Cycleworks
'If you’ve got something that needs fixing on your bike and you don’t know where to start – come to us.’
If you live, work or study in Southwark, and your bike is feeling a little run down, you can bring it along to Bikefix.
Every Friday and Saturday, Community Cycleworks run Bikefix sessions to help treat minor issues and show you how to carry out simple repairs on your bike. They run a ‘do it together’ model, so they’ll guide you to do the work on your bike, helping you get to know it a bit better.
The sessions are particularly helpful for those on a lower income, who might not be able to afford to go to a bike shop, but everyone is welcome.
