Hundreds of people have joined our Southwark 2030 focus groups and listening events and nearly 1,000 people have completed our online survey. We're bringing people together to talk about the place we all want Southwark to be by 2030.
Easter activities for children and young people
Free minibeast hunt in Peckham
A free and fun two-day course for children (with accompanying adult) living in Southwark on 13 and 14 April. You'll learn how to identify minibeasts and find them under logs, in the bushes and in the ponds. The same adult must attend both days.
Easter holiday clubs for 4 to 16s: book now
If your child gets benefits-related free school meals they can join one of many Easter Food and Fun holiday clubs in Southwark. The clubs run fun activities and healthy and free food will be available.
Pizza, table football, IMAX trip and more at Brandon Youth Centre
Aged 11 to 19? Head to Brandon Youth Centre (19 Maddock Way, SE17 3NH) on Tuesdays to Thursdays during the Easter holidays for a host of fun activities.

New adult learning courses: enrol now
Our summer adult learning courses are open for enrolment. We have courses in fashion, art, woodwork, textiles, pottery, fitness, childcare, computing and more. Most courses are at the Thomas Calton Centre, SE15. Fees apply, but concessions are available.
Free family festival in Dulwich at Kingswood House
Kingswood House in Dulwich (Seeley Drive, SE21 8QN) is reopening as Kingswood Arts, a brand new community arts centre. There will be music, food and drink, a bouncy castle, steel pans and more at the launch festival on 8 and 9 April.
Free entry: flea market near London Bridge
Inspired by European markets, Flea has an eclectic mix of well-chosen stalls selling vintage fashion, antiques, vinyl, books, jewellery, retro furniture, lighting and more. Head to Vinegar Yard, St Thomas Street, SE1 3QU every weekend.

Get cost of living help
We have lots cost of living information on our website. This includes advice about energy bills, benefits and getting all the money you're entitled to, help if you're struggling to afford food and more.
Get your energy bills discount (if you don't get it automatically)
If you haven’t got the £400 discount on your energy bills automatically, for example if you live in a park home or houseboat, you can now apply to get it. If you’re eligible we will arrange a one-off payment (which might take at least six weeks). You don't have to pay it back.
Get help to lose weight: free Weight Watchers support
If you're 18 or over you may be eligible for 12 weeks’ free weight loss support. This includes virtual coaching and discounted gym membership. You'll need to be a resident or be registered with a Southwark GP. Places are limited, apply today!
Free green skills training courses
Retrofit Revolution at London Southbank University offers fully-funded training courses, with expert advice, guidance and career help for unemployed Southwark residents.
Apply to our equalities grants fund worth £400k
Your non-profit organisation could be eligible if it's led by people with one or more protected characteristic. The fund aims to help organisations thrive and could pay for staff, training, digital equipment and software and more. £200k is ring-fenced for Black, Asian and minority ethnic-led organisations. Apply by 14 April.

Save money: free advice on green home improvements
The Energy Advice Centre offers free green homes advice which could help you save money. This could include advice on solar panels, air source heat pumps, double-glazing, loft insulation, funding for green upgrades and energy efficiency at home.
Reduce your risk of cancer: get advice in East Street Market
Cancer Research UK's awareness roadshow is visiting the market in SE17. Drop by between 10am and 4pm on 11, 12 or 13 April and speak to a cancer awareness nurse about how small changes can reduce your risk of cancer.

Without the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccines, children are more likely to become seriously ill. The risk of catching all three diseases increases when your child goes to nursery.

Get advice on how to build your strength and confidence to reduce your risk of a fall. There's plenty of local support, including free strength and balance classes, and advice on how to stay well and keep active.
Get your university tuition fees paid
If you're aged under 25, and meet other criteria, you can apply to our Southwark Scholarship scheme. The scholarship award covers the full cost of tuition fees for your undergraduate university course.
