Help shape Southwark’s new economic strategy
Our new economic strategy will set our ambitions for Southwark’s economy to 2030 and beyond, leading to a fairer, greener and more resilient economy in Southwark. We’ve produced a draft and now want comments, challenge and ideas from residents, businesses and partners to help shape the final strategy.
As a business owner and perhaps a resident too, our new economic strategy affects you. So it’s important that you share your thoughts on our future ambitions for your local economy.
We’ve briefly summarised the key challenges, missions and objectives of the economic strategy, in case you don’t have time to read it all.

Last chance: help shape our employment support service
Rocket Science Ltd are evaluating of our local employment support programme Southwark Works, and as an employer in the borough, we’d really appreciate your input.
By sharing with us your opinions on Southwark Works and local employment support more broadly, you can help the development of a new employment support service. This will benefit residents, as well local businesses.
Give your views on local employment support in a quick survey – deadline extended to 27 July 2022.
Help to reduce your greenhouse gas emissions
With air pollution responsible for 4,000 premature deaths per year in London, the health case for reducing emissions is clear. Reducing emissions is also good for business and could save you money on energy and resource costs.
Impact on Urban Health (Part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation) are offering 20 businesses the chance to measure and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
Free business consultancy from King’s College London
King’s College London Business School is offering local businesses free consultancy from ambitious and skilled students with fresh insights and contemporary perspectives. They can help with topics including:
- HR planning
- Marketing and social media
- Financial analysis
- Strategy and business planning
- Data analysis
- Organisational behaviour.
