Flying the flag for Pride and inclusivity

Southwark has proudly joined other national organisations and Pride events across the country in displaying the new community-wide Pride flag that includes additional colours to represent trans communities and LGBTQ+ people of colour. Find out more.


Birthday time with Bermondsey Carnival 

As Southwark Park celebrates its 150th Birthday, Bermondsey Carnival returns on Saturday 6 July. As well as the usual music - headlined by The Real Thing - and partying, Rumble in the Jumble is also returning. The weather forecast is great and the fun begins at noon. Find out more.


The summer reading challenge is out of this world

Measles and mumps are circulating

Creative bursaries for Southwark students

Supported by Southwark Council, the Bursaries of £2,500 each are available to seven students from selected Southwark schools beginning to study either on the Foundation or any undergraduate course at Camberwell College of Arts or the University of The Arts London. Find out more
