Great Estates

Will you work with us to make your estate a Great Estate?

The council will be running a series of improvement projects on estates over the next year. We want to work with residents on projects that will help make our estates great places to live. We want to hear your views and ideas about what would improve your estate. Would better lighting, fresh painting, new public art or gardening projects improve your estate? Tell us your idea(s) by completing a short online form by 1 July 2019.

Could you be a digital champion?

The council has launched the Digital Inclusion Programme. This programme aims to break down the barriers in making the best use of the internet. We are inviting residents to volunteer as digital champions with free accredited training. Champions will help other residents to improve their digital skills such as setting up an email account or completing an online form. You can learn more about the scheme and register your interest in becoming a digital champion volunteer.

#onething

Do #OneThing to help clean Southwark’s air

Could you help clean Southwark’s air? Could you take public transport, use car share schemes, click and collect from a central point instead of delivery, or something else. Everyone can do #OneThing to help improve air quality.

Carnival

Bermondsey Carnival family fun day

Bermondsey Carnival will bring an exciting free programme of music, dance and events to Southwark Park on Saturday 6 July from 12 noon to 8pm. This year is extra special as we celebrate Southwark Park's 150th birthday. The music line up will be headlined by The Real Thing and there will be free family and children’s workshops.

Southwark Works, the employment support service, will be moving...

The Southwark Works office will be moving from its current location at Elephant and Castle shopping centre to 376 Walworth Road in July 2019.
