Housing Heroes

Celebrating our Housing Heroes

Our congratulations go to the winners of the Housing Heroes Awards 2018 which were awarded a trophy and £100 for their chosen charity at an awards presentation on Wednesday 14 November 2018. Winners include Deborah Oyewunmi who won Neighbour of the Year, and Jeffrey Barnet, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award. Jeffrey has been involved in the TRA movement for over 25 years, and has been chair of Brandon TRA for over 10 years, as well as taking on several other community roles. Deborah makes it her duty to check on her neighbours regularly – especially if she hasn’t seen them in days or aren’t feeling well. Look at the full list of winners.

Are you a leaseholder, thinking of making alterations to your home?

Did you know you need written permission from our residential conveyancing team before making alterations in your property? You should always contact us first and get permission before obtaining planning or building control consent, as we need to ensure that that the alterations you propose do not breach the terms of your lease. If you make changes without our permission you may be asked to put the property back to the way it was and you will have spent money unnecessarily.

Christmas fire safety

Christmas is a time when your home is likely to be full of decorations, candles and lights to add to the festive atmosphere. However naked flames, paper hats and Christmas trees can be a dangerous combination, particularly in a block of flats where a fire could have serious consequesnces for the other tenants.

Book repairs online

As we enter the winter period, demand for repairs increases and our contact centre is very busy between 9am to 10am. Whilst we endeavour to do our best, it can sometimes take longer to answer your calls so you may prefer to report your day-to-day repairs online which allows you to book appointment slots. You can also find details on our planned and unplanned outages for communal breakdowns and repairs.
