It's time to Back The Bakerloo

Southwark and Lewisham Councils have launched a campaign asking local people to #BackTheBakerloo, to bring the tube line down Old Kent Road and to Lewisham and beyond. The Bakerloo line extension will bring huge benefits to residents and businesses, dramatically improving transport links and making the area more accessible than it’s ever been before. The extension will also deliver thousands of much-needed new homes and jobs.

Southwark is working with the Mayor and TfL to make a strong case for the Bakerloo line extension and we need your help to make it happen. You can sign up to Back the Bakerloo at backthebakerloo.org.uk and share on social media with the hashtag #BacktheBakerloo

The history of Elephant and Castle unveiled

It makes up part of the hoardings for the ongoing construction work and will be on view to the public for at least a year. Find out more about Elephant and Castle regeneration.
