Christmas

...and here we are again!!!

Have a splendid Christmas, what ever you are doing, and a Happy New Year!

Your community council

The November meeting was very well attended, as regeneration is always a popular topic in the SE15 area, and also there were lots of residents supporting the deputation on the status of Camberwell Grove Bridge. Everyone seemed pretty pleased when it was announced that the bridge will indeed be reopening.  Cllr Mark Williams introduced the theme of regeneration, and encouraged residents to contribute to the consultation on the New Southwark Plan - see below.

The recording of the Peckham & Nunhead Community Council has been uploaded, and is available through the link : www.tiny.cc/PNCC

Southwark Council

New Southwark Plan - Have your say!!

https://consultations.southwark.gov.uk/planning-and-regeneration/new-southwark-plan-proposed-submission-version/

The council has published the ‘proposed submission version’ of the New Southwark Plan for informal consultation. The plan sets out the borough-wide planning and regeneration strategy up to 2033 and includes planning policies, proposed development sites and visions for each of the borough’s unique neighbourhoods. Subject to approval at council assembly on 29 November the council will launch formal consultation which will close on 12 February 2018. As this is the last stage of consultation, we are asking people to consider two key questions: is the plan ‘legal?’ and is the plan ‘sound?’ To find out more about what these questions mean, the plan and the consultation please visit our website or consultation hub page.

Make representations on the plan's legal compliance and 'soundness'on our consultation hub page here
You can find out more information about what we mean by legal compliance and 'soundness' in the link below and at the front of the plan.
More information about the consultation can be found here, including where to view the plan and other ways to make representations

Information about the New Southwark Plan
Southwark Council is preparing a new borough-wide development plan called the New Southwark Plan. The New Southwark Plan sets out how the Council will deliver further regeneration and wider improvements for the borough in the years to come. Planning decisions must be made in accordance with the development plan, unless other material considerations indicate otherwise.
Following the consultation the Plan will be submitted to Government for an independent examination where an inspector will consider any comments submitted to the Council during the consultation period.
