Use the resident waste app or the printed collection calendar to check which bins to put out each week for collection. You can also contact customer services on 01702 215006 if you are unable to access either the app or calendar and are not sure what day your waste is collected.

Please put the bins at the boundary of your property, or as close to the edge of the property as possible.

Some roads have a mixture of residents on wheelie bins and sack collections. Sack collections and wheelie bin collections are carried out by different waste vehicles and can also happen on different days.

Changes in the way that we collect waste in Southend are likely to mean that your waste is collected at different times in the day, anywhere between 7am and 6pm.

Please ensure your waste is put out for collection by 7am at the latest on your collection day.

If you are on a wheelie bin service and the bins do not cause an obstruction to anyone, you can put them out the night before.

Please wait until 6:00 PM on your collection day before reporting a missed collection using our online form. You do not need to register for MySouthend - simply click ‘continue without registering’. However, registering allows you to manage and track your reports and requests online.

By registering, you’ll have easy access to the information you need without calling or visiting us. Registered users also receive updates on the status of their requests.
