Former Pier Manager convicted of fraud
The former head of the council’s pier and foreshore service has been fined and ordered to complete community service after entering a guilty plea to fraud by abuse of position and money laundering.

Get on board winter vaccination campaign as bus rolls into city
Helping residents to get vaccinated and prepared for winter, NHS Mid and South Essex is bringing a community vaccination bus to Southend next week.
The bus will be available at Morrisons, Western Approaches, SS2 6SH, between 9am and 5pm on Wednesday 16 October and will also be visiting other parts of Essex.

Parking that's a shore thing
With the Southend Pass get up to 13 hours parking everyday across the city for just 34p per day including exemption from 6pm to 9pm seafront charges.
The Southend Pass is an annual parking permit, that can be paid for monthly, quarterly or annually.

Head on down to the seafront every Saturday night up until 16 November to enjoy the fabulous free displays, brought to you by the Southend Seaside Partnership and Southend BID.
