February Half Term fun!

It's February - It's half term - it's time to discover what's on in Southampton's museums and art gallery. If you are struggling to find something for the kids to do or want to get stuck in to a family activity then we've got just the thing for you. SeaCity Museum

SeaCity Museum is a world class visitor attraction right on your doorstep. Make this a half term to remember with a visit that will take you and your family back through time to discover some of the most fascinating facts about Southampton's past. Rediscover the Titanic and Southampton's intriguing and very personal links with the tragedy of its sinking. Also dig in to our archaeological history and uncover thousands of years of our history through interactive exhibits and scale models.

From the Victorian era to modern day, there is an inextricable link between toys, games and war. From Cowboys and Indians, through Second World War tanks and planes, to the latest video games, this engaging exhibition has an appeal for all ages.    

Revisit some of your favourite children's toys and introduce a new generation to the games you played as a child. Brought to you by the V&A Museum of Childhood, this special exhibition is a perfect new addition to your day out at SeaCity Museum

Southampton's most historic house is a great place to spend a few hours during the half term holiday! Discover over 800 years of history, meet the friendly spirits who watch over the banqueting hall and explore our beautiful Tudor style knot garden. Discover the differences of the house through the years, especially the Tudor, Victorian and Georgian eras - also take refuge in a genuine WW2 air raid shelter!

Louise Bourgeois was fascinated by capturing life by drawing and writing. Kurt Jackson worked with writers for his exhibition. Why not learn the skill of book binding and go home with a fantastic selection of sketchbooks to draw and write in!
