Current road works
Mountbatten Way will be closed from the A33 West Quay Road to the A3057 Southern Road on 25 April 8pm - 6am to allow access to the Network Rail maintenance area.
John Thorneycroft Road will be closed from Vosper Road to Victoria Road until 12 May for development works.

Richmond Street will be closed from Threefield Lane to Terminus Terrace until 31 August for road improvement and development works.
College Street will be closed from Terminus Terrace to Threefield Lane until 31 August for road improvement and development works.
Future road works
Turning restriction at Dock Gate 5 / Platform Road from 28 April to 5 May: there will be no left turn from Platform Road to Dock Gate 5. (Motorists will be able to turn left from Town Quay to Orchard Place and left from Dock Gate 5 to Town Quay)
Civic Centre Road will be closed from Havelock Road to West Marlands Road on 6 May, 10pm - 1am for emergency repair work.
Commercial Road partial closure - Mayflower Halls development project
Commercial Road will be restricted to one-way (westbound only)
between
Wyndham Place and Cumberland Place
from 5 May to mid-June. To manage the traffic during this period all
inbound traffic along Commercial Road will be diverted via Wyndham Place,
Blechynden Terrace and West Park Road. This is
to allow utility services connections to be made under Commercial Road for the
University of Southampton’s Mayflower Halls and for repaving the footpath around
the site.
During this period Southampton City Council’s improvement work around the station is being pulled back to allow for two lanes on the diversion route. Temporary changes are also being made to the junction at Havelock Road to accommodate the rerouted traffic which should minimise any disruption.
Morris Road will be closed at its junction with Commercial Road from 5 May to mid-June to allow road and construction works associated with Osborne's adjacent development to be carried out.
Central Bridge repair work
Southampton City Council has successfully secured government Pinch Point Funding to carry out major reconstruction works to preserve this important historic bridge. Work began late March and will continue until September 2014. Please click here to find out more about the work and the closures in place.
West Park Road will be closed westbound from Havelock Road to Blechynden Terrace until September for road improvements works.
Blechynden Terrace will be closed westbound from West Park Road to Wyndham Place service road until September for road improvements works.
Blechynden Terrace (between
Wyndham Place and Southbrook Road) will have temporary traffic management measures in place until
September.
