A composition challenge for you
If you
are a budding composer who is itching with creativity, then here's a challenge for you! Southampton Music Service is compiling a selection of original songs
to include in the Southampton City Songbook. The theme is ‘Southampton’ – so
lyrics about Southampton’s history (including local events, famous or influential people, places and landmarks would be ideal). Contributing to the songbook will also give you the chance to have your
composition sung across schools in Southampton. Are you interested? If so, then please email music@southampton.gov.uk with your name and contact details. We will get back to you with more
information.
