- Transformational use of the north of the site with a new ‘family zone’
- New enlarged grandstand and clubhouse for events and officials at the athletics track
- Additional on-site car parking
The Draft Masterplan of Improvements also proposes other enhancements to paths, seating, lighting and environmental features across the entire site.

Southampton City Vision ‘Call for Sites’ consultation
Southampton City Vision will be our new Local Plan, a document that will set out the future development of new homes, work spaces, infrastructure and facilities across the city over the next 20 years and beyond.
An important element of developing the plan is looking at all potential sites across the city and assessing whether they are suitable for development. We would like you to inform us of any potential sites that you think should be included in this assessment.
We have been gathering evidence as part of our Strategic Land Availability Assessment (SLAA), this included a ‘Call for Sites’ consultation that took place from February to May 2020. As COVID-19 has significantly slowed the process over the last 18 months we now feel it is important to ensure we have an up-to-date picture before moving forward. (Note: if you responded to the ‘call for sites’ last year, there is no need to inform us of any sites you have already made us aware of).
You can find out more and respond to the consultation on our website.
All sites will be considered through the SLAA process and will inform the development of the new Southampton City Vision Local Plan site allocations. If you have more than one site to submit, please complete a separate form for each site suggested.
Closes Sunday 17 October 2021.
