Cycle to Work Day 21

Cycle to Work Day – Thursday 05 August

Cycle to Work Day is an opportunity for all employees to get in the saddle and experience the benefits of riding a bike. From boosting wellbeing to better health and improved finances; cycling offers it all.  And whilst the event might be called Cycle to Work Day, it doesn’t matter whether you’re working from home, in the workplace or somewhere in between – everyone can ride for the chance to win.

Anyone who logs a trip with Love to Ride on Thursday 05 August will go into the draws to win over £2,000 worth of cycling prizes.  Visit the Cyclescheme Love to Ride Community to find out more and get involved.

Ditch the stabilisers

Ditch the Stabilisers sessions are back for summer!

We’re running a series of free lessons throughout the summer holidays to help parents teach their children how to ride a bike.

The sessions will take place across public parks every Thursday and will be guided by experienced coaches, who will give advice on how to get children balancing on their bikes and starting to pedal by themselves.

There is no charge for the lessons, but places are limited and booking is necessary. Please visit our website to search for events and instructions on how to book.

Cycle September 700

Cycle September

Next month is Cycle September - the global bike challenge - when there will be amazing prizes up for grabs!  Just ride anywhere, any time, to take part. It’s not about how fit you are or how far you ride, so even a 10-minute ride around the park would count and get you scoring points.

The points you earn count as entries for you to win, and you can even get your workplace involved! You score more points by encouraging your friends, family and colleagues to ride as well. It only takes 30 seconds to sign up at lovetoride.net.

Sporterium 700

Entries are still open for the Southampton Sporterium, taking place on 4 September

Southampton Sporterium is THE cycling event for the city and it's taking place on Saturday 4 September. The event comprises both a sportive, which is still open for entries, and a criterium, where you can watch national-level riders race around the city centre course in a high octane day of racing!

If you fancy a challenge, why not take on the Sportive 60km or the 100km distance around the Hampshire Hills, covering both Meon Valley and Test Valley in a stunning ride.

The Sporterium is one action packed day that is worth getting on your bike for!

If you’re interested in taking part in either of the sportive distances, you can sign up here
