This will be our last course until September 2021

The course is fun and relaxed and acts as a stepping stone to accredited employability courses.

Over the 4 sessions, the course will aim to:

  • Improve learners’ confidence and motivation
  • Support learners with CV writing
  • Teach job application tips and tricks
  • Develop interview techniques
  • Help learners plan to move into paid work, volunteering or education

Kickstart your career

Kickstart

The Kickstart Scheme is helping employers create thousands of government-funded jobs for young people aged 16-24 years old on Universal Credit who need additional work experience to improve their chances of getting into work.

The job will last for 6 months and while you are on it you will get paid at least 25 hours a week at the national minimum wage or national living wage depending on how old you are.

The employer will support you to improve your chances of getting a permanent job – this support would be tailored to you and might include:

  • Developing your skills in the workplace
  • Career advice
  • Help with CV writing and preparing for interviews

There are thousands of Kickstart Scheme jobs available right now. Visit the JobHelp website for more information and talk to your Work Coach to apply to Kickstart Scheme jobs.
