Two great projects this weekend!
Only a few days until the world premiere of Voyages of the Heart!
Join a powerful and unique online music event, featuring 25 musicians from six music sounds: Gospel, Folk, Indian Classical, Soul, Opera and Reggae. Voyages of the Heart is a powerful new work by renowned composer, cellist and kora virtuoso Tunde Jegede; commissioned by Turner Sims and Southampton City Council as part of the Mayflower 400 programme. Inspired by the stories of Southampton’s refugee and migrant communities. The piece beautifully blends these varied styles together to create a multi-layered musical journey which is reflective of Southampton’s multicultural population. Watch the Trailer.
The concert premieres at 7pm this Friday 23 April 23 and runs until Monday 3 May, you can use the link to watch any time or day that suits. Tickets are available at a range of pay what you can price points.

The Grid at Weston Shore
This weekend, the residents at Weston Shore will have the opportunity to join ZoieLogic Dance Theatre and take part in the Grid Experience. The Grid Experience is an exciting creative project which explores movement and shared spaces. It was created it in response to people experiencing a physical and social disconnect because of Covid-19.
Exclusively for members of the Weston Shore Community, residents have been learning dance moves in their lounge / kitchen / bedroom via zoom. This weekend they all come together to perform the final piece in their own grid space. Keep your eyes peeled for the film of the performance when it comes out soon!
