Friends of Portswood Library - Christmas Carol Concert

See Tudor House dressed in its best for Christmas! Follow a festive family trail or meet the man himself, receive a Christmas gift and enjoy a truly magical experience in a traditional setting. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment for this very popular activity. Families can book more than one child per slot, each child must be paid for at booking. Don't forget your camera! We also have gingerbread men and embossed Christmas card workshops.

Hearing loop

Funding boost in bid to make Southampton first city to have hearing loop in every public space

Southampton City Council, GO! Southampton, NHS Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group, Southampton Healthwatch and Let's Loop Southampton have teamed up to help provide hearing loop systems across the city, for free.

The partnership is expected to benefit the estimated 33,500 Southampton residents with hearing loss conditions. Small businesses and GP Surgeries across Southampton can visit our website to apply for a free hearing loop system.

Christmas Remembrance Service

Thursday 12 December / 7–8pm  / Southampton Crematorium (East Chapel), Bassett Green Road, SO16 3NF

Southampton Crematorium are holding their annual Christmas Remembrance Service.

Send us a photo of your loved one in advance to be included on the memorial photo tribute screen, light a candle, hang a star on the Christmas Tree, sing carols, have some refreshments and get a little gift from the staff of Southampton Crematorium.

Moorlands Community Centre

Squirrels Corner Pre-school are moving!

After many years operating from Moorlands Community Centre, on the 20 December Squirrels Corner Pre-school will be re-locating its operations to Townhill Park Community Centre (more information can be found on their Facebook page).

The Trustees of Moorlands Community Centre would like to reassure everyone that the centre will continue to be open as usual for all other activities. From the beginning of January 2020 there will be space for hire during the day, if you would like to book then please visit the council's website for contact details and for more details on current activities.

Christmas Fayre at the Southampton Veterans' Drop-In-Centre

Sunday 14 December / 1-4pm / Woodley Road, Wolston SO19 9DW / 50p entry

Join them for Christmas carols around the tree with mince pies and drinks. There will also be craft and jewellery stalls, clothing stalls, cake stalls, book and jigsaw stalls and lots more!

Santa and his helpers will be there and for £2 you can meet him and receive a gift!
