Portswood Library will close temporarily from Monday 29 October to Saturday 17 November inclusive for internal improvements.
The library will re-open on Monday 19 November with a new access lift, windows and carpets and the children's and family library will be expanded and relocated.
While the library is closed, the nearest alternative libraries are Central Library, Burgess Road Library and Cobbett Hub & Library.
Any books issued since Monday 1 October will automatically be due back after the closed period.
Thank you for your patience while we carry out these improvements.
We would also like to thank the Friends of Portswood Library for their fundraising efforts and contribution to the new children's library furniture.
We frequently share content exclusively on our social media feeds in conjunction with certain activities, i.e. when some very special toys had a sleepover in the library
