Good News Story!

Escape Pain course held at Church Stretton Leisure Centre

Led by the Exercise on Referral Team, February 3rd saw the launch of our new class program, Escape Pain, relating to managing knee and/or hip pain associated with Osteoarthritis. A great way to meet others living with osteoarthritis, there were 12 sessions in total, each including an educational and exercise component. Every session covered a specific topic, allowing for time to discuss and share lived experiences and advice, before starting the physical activity element. Any exercises given were all adapted as needed, with ways to progress as participants gained confidence and improved. There has been great feedback from participants, showing what a difference structured and tailored exercise can do to help manage pain. Here’s what has been said so far: “Thanks again for the Escape Pain classes which I found very beneficial, and I'd strongly recommend to any one with knee/hip problems.” “Really enjoyed and benefitted from the course so much.” “…I would like to say thank you.  My experience in your Escape Pain classes was very helpful, informative and my pain has reduced” We are just in the process of confirming dates for our next Escape Pain course at Church Stretton Leisure Centre, these will be announced shortly, but in the meantime if you require any further information please email: eor.leisure@shropshire.gov.uk

Functional Fitness MOT at Church Stretton Leisure Centre

Much Wenlock Leisure Centre

HAF - Holiday Activities & Food

Much Wenlock leisure centre and the HAF team have come together to offer local children and young people aged from reception to 16 years who are eligible  for HAF an Easter holiday pass which includes FREE gym membership, swimming sessions and a food vouchers over the Easter holidays at Much Wenlock leisure centre.

Meole Brace Golf Course

We're really pleased to be offering online bookings at the golf course for all players with an annual subscription.

Unlimited golf for the upcoming season will now be available on a monthly direct debit subscription.
