Your garden waste subscription - important information

Thank you for subscribing to our garden waste collection service.

This email is to give you a brief update about the special bin sticker that is being sent to everyone who subscribes.

Stickers are being sent out by post in the coming days. As soon as you receive yours please place it on the back of your garden waste bin (handle side) so it can easily be seen by our collection crews.

If your sticker doesn't arrive ahead of your next scheduled garden waste collection, please put your bin out as normal and it will be emptied.

What if the sticker comes off or is taken off?

The stickers are applied using an extra strong adhesive making them almost impossible to remove. They are designed to fray and tear when removed from the bins, which prevents them being reused by other residents.

Your sticker will have your address and unique reference number on it, which allows the waste teams to check that the bin is at the relevant location.

If you subscribed for someone else...

If you signed up on someone's else behalf you may not have provided an email address for them. If so, please pass this information on to them if possible

Why are we charging for garden waste?

Charging for garden waste collections will bring much-needed money into the council so that we can continue to deliver essential services for those residents who need us most.
