Sport England and Shropshire Council are undertaking research to understand the participant experience of using public leisure centres and their activity habits.
Please note that this survey is completely confidential, and all data is collected and processed in compliance with all data protection laws and the Market Research Society Professional Code of Conduct. Responding to these questions is entirely voluntary and the answers that you provide will be presented in aggregate form, and not be linked back to you in any way. In accordance with GDPR, please be reassured that your personal details and individual answers will remain confidential and will not be passed to any other organisation.
Some of the questions in the survey will ask for your ethnicity and health data. This sensitive information about you is considered 'special category data'. The lawful basis for collecting any special category data is your explicit consent to do so. Special category data is personal data that needs more protection because it is sensitive. For more information take a look at Sport England's privacy statement.
By taking part in the survey you're giving your explicit consent for us to collect this special category data about you.
Please complete this survey to share your thoughts about your experiences of using your local leisure centre. For the purposes of this research, please answer all questions exclusively in relation to this leisure centre and disregard any others you have visited. Your input will help us understand how members use this centre and improve both its facilities and services going forward.
This survey should take no longer than five minutes to complete.
Thank you in advance for your participation.

Our evening learn to swim programme is returning next week (From Tuesday 10th September) after taking a break over the Summer holidays.
All parents for children in lessons before our summer break were asked to re book and pay for September lessons before the summer to confirm your place for the new term.
This is due to the unprecedented demand for lessons at the centre, and we want to make sure we can cater for as many children as possible.
We are not currently taking any new members on to the scheme, however there are a number of participants who have not yet re booked and paid, and should they not return spaces will be opened up from Tuesday 17th September.
To enquire about space please contact the centre directly on 01952 727629 after Tuesday 17th September, during centre opening times

Sport England is working on the next implementation plan for their Uniting the Movement strategy – and they need your help! Launched in 2021, Uniting the Movement is Sport England's long-term strategy for the sport and physical activity sector in England. At its heart, it seeks to tackle the longstanding inequalities that mean some people find it harder to enjoy the benefits of being physically active. It aims to help provide opportunities to people and communities that have traditionally been left behind, by removing the barriers to activity - something we believe has never been more important. Their present implementation plan ends in March and they’re currently working on their next plan, which will cover the period 2025-2028. It'll build on the successes they’ve seen so far, ensure their efforts are focussed on where there's still work to do and that they’re adapting to the changing world around us. And that’s why they need you. As someone who's directly involved in sport or physical activity, they’re keen to hear your views and ensure our assumptions remain correct. The survey should take around 20-30 minutes to complete and will be enormously helpful as Sport England shape their offer to the sector for the coming years. If the survey is not accessible for you, please email implementationplan25-28@sportengland.org and they'll arrange an alternative method. You can read the privacy notice here. Sport England would be grateful if you could complete the survey no later than Sunday 22 September. Together, we can bring about the positive change we all want to see and ensure everyone, regardless of their age, bank balance, sex, location or background, can enjoy the physical and mental benefits of living an active life

Don't forget to download the Shropshire Leisure Time App for booking sessions at your local leisure centre. To help you download the app and learn how to use it, we have created an Online Guide
We also have an Online Booking System in place for members who don’t have access to a smart phone. The process is exactly the same to register but you just use the link above to book rather than downloading the App.
