Important: Possible changes to your recycling and waste collection day

Dear Subscriber

New recycling and waste collection calendars are being posted to households in your area. Please look out for yours as it will tell you if your collection day or service is set to change from November.

What’s happening and why?

From 7 November changes will be made to some collection days in your area to make the collection service more efficient and reduce the distances that the collection lorries need to travel on their rounds – helping to reduce carbon emissions.

However, at the same time, in your area changes are also being made to the types of waste collected on each collection day.

Important info…

Please continue to present your waste bins, bags and boxes at the kerbside by 7am on your collection day as, even if your day remains the same, the collection time may change.
If, due to a collection day change, you would have to wait over 18 days before getting a collection (ie the existing two-week cycle, plus four days) you will get an interim collection, based on your old collection day.
