Autism West Midlands - Board games
New members welcome at Board Games Club
A Saturday
board games club run by Autism West Midlands is looking for new members. The club for children and young people over 9
years old meets on the first and third Saturday of each month at the Beech Tree
Community Centre, Claypit Street in Whitchurch from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm.
Children do not need to be diagnosed with autism to attend.
There is a wide
choice of games on offer from Connect 4, draughts, Monopoly and a club
favourite Ticket to Ride. Current club member Tom said: “I like coming here,
it’s quiet and friendly. It’s good if you want a break and you get to make new
friends”
Members pay £3
per session. Parents can drop their child off or stay for a coffee and chat
with the club leaders. For more information contact Hilary McGlynn on 01743
