 Changes to the city’s recycling services - the result of the Council’s ‘Simpler Recycling’ public consultation which took place in September 2024 - were approved at the Waste and Street Scene Committee on Friday 12th September.
The plans include replacing the current 140-litre blue recycling bin with a larger 240-litre version, and to expand the range of materials accepted in the brown bin.
Footpath gritters trial approved
Councillors approved the trial of a small specialised gritter, which will be used on the city’s footpaths and pedestrian areas this winter, at Committee on Friday (12 September).
