Welcome to this week’s update.
Sheffield Lunar Chinese New Year 2026
After more than 20 years of Lunar New Year celebrations in Sheffield, what began as a small community gathering has become a major citywide event—bringing together thousands of people from all walks of life.
Thousands of visitors attended the 2025 festival with over one hundred dancers, singers, models, acrobats and musicians performing. The 2025 event received extensive local and regional media coverage.
The next festival takes place between 16th February to 25th February 2026 and now belongs to the whole city. As the festival looks ahead to 2026, they are inviting partners who believe in connection, culture and community to join them in taking it even further.
