Sheffield's Children's University
Sheffield’s Children's University (CU) have launched a song packed with inspiration titled "Anything I Want To Be”.
The song is a lively, upbeat number that reflects the aims of Children’s University by celebrating the value of enrichment, inspiring young people to pursue their dreams, work hard, and have high aspirations in whatever career path they choose.
Event Central project plan
Event Central is a regeneration project commissioned by Sheffield City Council and funded through support from Government, which will see the building in the middle of Fargate transformed into an events space – showcasing the very best of Sheffield’s diverse talent.
The venue is also expected to host several community events, showcases, exhibitions, workshops and talks.

Mayor Oliver Coppard alongside leaders of South Yorkshire’s Councils have agreed to introduce bus franchising across the region, taking another element of public transport in Sheffield into public control.
The city's brand has recently received a refresh with the aim of helping Sheffield to ‘stand out’ and ‘stand apart’, as well as highlighting the impact Sheffield has on the world.
The Milk Trail, which is being organised by Sheffield City Council’s Family Hubs, is open to everyone, whether they are breastfeeding or just want to show their support, to get out and explore the city while highlighting breastfeeding-friendly venues.
Several locations across Sheffield are set to see new or improved crossings as part of the Council’s plans to improve pedestrian access while, at the same time, aiming to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured.
The hard work and dedication of our Housing Service staff to improve the quality of services to tenants has been recognised as Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) continued to increase during the third quarter of the year.
Tens of thousands of people have jumped on board Sheffield’s first fully electric bus services, seeing the numbers rise when compared with a year ago.
Views are being sought on a new, five-year Temporary Accommodation Strategy and Policy that will allow our Housing Service to work strategically.
