Gleadless Valley Regeneration Officer Shadows Councillor at Local Surgery
Ian, a Project Support Officer with the Gleadless Valley Regeneration Team, recently had the opportunity to shadow Councillor Alexi Dimond at his surgery at Newfield Green Library. This hands-on experience gave Ian valuable insight into the crucial role councillors play in supporting the local community.
Reflecting on the experience, Ian shared, "Alexi's warmth, approachability, and attentiveness really stood out. He carefully listened to everyone's comments, asked great questions, and focused on finding the best way to help. Even when he couldn't assist directly, he connected people with the right person who could. I’d highly recommend visiting local councillor surgeries or reaching out directly to Alexi, Paul, or Marieanne."
