The countdown is on! The Christmas markets opened today, Crackers for Christmas is bringing a special weekend of festivities and there are lots of other events going on around the city over the coming weeks. Let's dive in!
Crackers for Christmas festive weekend will kick off this year's markets
Get into the festive spirit with an array of seasonal food and drink and unique gift ideas, all set against the twinkly lights of the city centre.
The market stretches from the stunning Christmas tree at Town Hall Square to the Moor with three Alpine Bars and more than 50 independent log cabin stalls selling festive gifts, food and drink.
The traditional carousel will be back in Barker's Pool with a new illuminated helter skelter and Santa's Grotto. The Big Wheel will be back on The Moor.
November 14th - December 24th Sheffield city centre Free to attend
Celebrate the opening weekend of the markets with a variety of festive family entertainment including big bands, choirs, dance, panto, street entertainment, children's costume characters, crafts and storytelling.
November 16th - 17th Sheffield city centre Free to attend
Enjoy a family-friendly day full with festive joy. There'll be stalls, a bake off, food, face painting, free children's crafts, local music and a mini treasure hunt.
November 16th Woodseats Methodist Church Free
Join Hallam Sinfonia and Steel City Choristers for a sparkling Christmas concert in our beautiful Sheffield Town Hall.
Look forward to a programme of Christmas classics, brand new arrangements, choir carols and a festive audience singalong.
November 14th, matinee at 5:15pm and evening concert at 7:45pm Sheffield Town Hall £15 adults, £5 under 18s - £1 from every ticket goes to Sheffield youth homeless charity Roundabout
