Festival of the Mind event
The biennial celebration of the University of Sheffield's world-class research showcases collaborative projects produced by academics and artists from Sheffield's creative industries.
Over 11 days, the University's most exciting and cutting-edge research is shared with the public through innovative, imaginative and impactful events, performances, installations and exhibitions in venues across the city including the wonderful spiegeltent.
September 19th - September 29th Various venues Free
This large-scale art installation, brought to you by South Yorkshire's youth homelessness charity, Roundabout, represents the young homeless people they've supported since the start of the cost-of-living crisis.
The installation features 1,800 handmade roses in mild and stainless steel and each one embodies the strength of young homeless individuals, challenging stereotypes and offering a new narrative of hope and growth.

Get ready to party with Stitch at a tropical-themed kids' disco.
As well as dancing, there will be games and tunes. It's free and tickets are only required for kids - parents and carers don't need to reserve one.
