One week to go until the Tour of Britain
There’s only one week to go until Sheffield welcomes top international cyclists including Olympic and Tour De France champions to the city for the Tour of Britain men’s race. Whether you’re coming out to support the riders or travelling around the city, here’s everything you need to know to plan for the day.
The route
From the stage start on Arundel Gate, the riders will cover over 160km of roads across the region. In Sheffield they will face two King of the Mountains climbs at Long Lane above Loxley and Jawbone Hill in Oughtibridge.

Get involved
There will be plenty of opportunities to catch a glimpse of the riders on the day, either from the start line in the city centre or along the route.

On the evening before the race, Sheffield will host a Community Cycling Festival. This free event is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to develop their cycling skills and learn more about the sport.
