We have a fantastic range of free children's activities available across all our libraries this summer!
Summer Reading Challenge
The Marvellous Makers logo - showing a group of children playing and being creative outdoors.
The Summer Reading Challenge is all about reading for fun! Each year, we set a challenge for children to read six books of their choice over the summer holidays.
Children can read anything they like - audio books, e-books, fiction, non-fiction, comics, joke books, poetry books, graphic novels…it all counts!
After every two books, children receive a free set of scratch'n'sniff stickers, and all children who complete the challenge will receive a medal and a certificate.
To sign up, please ask at your local library.
We also have lots of summer activities based around this year's theme of "Marvellous Makers" - read on for more details!
