Sheffield has been shortlisted for City of the Year by the EG awards
The award seeks to ‘celebrate the UK’s cities and the work they are doing to create liveable, successful places’. The EG Awards recognise achievements in the real estate sector & the positive impact it has on communities.

Over 200 employers gathered in the Winter Garden and Millennium Gallery to support the See It Be It in Sheffield campaign and the Pride of Place partnership.
At the event, Chief Executive of Sheffield City Council Kate Josephs spoke about the crucial role of local employers. See It Be It aims to create an enterprise pipeline from primary to post-16 and boost employer engagement in schools.
Sheffield Town Hall celebrated the 2024 edition of the Lifelong Learning and Skills Awards.
Hosted by Sheffield City Council’s Lifelong Learning and Skills Service alongside partner organisations, it is an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of all learners and to encourage them to embrace their future progression into further/higher education, volunteering and/or employment, or simply an enhanced life change that helps them achieve their personal goals.
There are national changes to postal voting including being able to apply online and changes to rules about hand delivering postal votes.
