June is shaping up to be a busy month of events with Doc Fest, Mosfest, Migration Matters Festival, Pride events and lots of other things happening around the city.

Doc Fest in the City Hall
The UK’s leading documentary festival returns to Sheffield next week!
As well as a programme of more than 100 film screenings, the festival features a host of exhibitions, immersive installations, panel events and inspiring talks with famous names.

There will be a musical performance, stalls with activities - including calligraphy, painting, games and puzzles - and a talk on health and wellbeing.
Plus, the Dragon Boat Festival’s traditional staple food, Zongzi will be served to all guests.

Mosfest is known as a high-quality, great-value family festival with a big charity raising heart.
Despite rising costs of everything from stage costs to bands fees, the festival aims to keep its price as low as possible and offer a brilliant day out with great bands.

The Yard Sale is back with households across Meersbrook and Heeley selling their unwanted treasure for your buying pleasure.
Sellers are added to the Yard Sale Google map and shoppers can use the map to find the houses taking part. Sell your unwanted goods or get your hands on a bargain!

Get ready for a jam-packed day of medieval fun as the Ferrers Household take you back in time to the Wars of the Roses.
Get in the medieval spirit with a range of activities including: archery, kids’ jousting and dressing up, bill drills, and watching medieval craftmanship in action.

Sheffield’s Migration Matters Festival launches with an epic night of music and food on Friday, June 14.
Now in its ninth year, the Refugee Week festival is attracting bigger names from around the world.
In total, there are 70 events ranging from a Hong Kong food tour to thought-provoking theatre, highly rated comedy to cabaret and much more.

Doc Fest is back next week and showing a number of LGBT+ stories on screen including:

Nelly and Nadine, the extraordinary story of two women who fell in love while imprisoned in a concentration camp. Various dates.

LETU: Frankie's Story, an interactive virtual experience taking you to idealised digital worlds for the LGBTQ+ communities of East Africa. Various dates.

Any Other Way: the Jackie Shane Story + Q&A, a life of stardom and trailblazing trans musical history. June 15th and 16th.
Join Sheffield Libraries to celebrate LGBTQ+ stories this Pride month.
